My muffins normally come out in a million pieces, occasionally burnt and my metal muffin pans ALWAYS rust (hey...I never said I was a baker. I am more of a cook. I need all the help I can get from my pans). To be honest with you, I have been using loaf pans the last few years. I had given up on the muffin...until now.This OvenArt Bakeware Silicone pan is a gorgeous bright red color. It makes 12 standard sized muffins. It is 12.8 x 9.7 x 1.2 inches, each cup holds 2.5 ounces and measures 2 3/4 inches across. It is also BPA free and filler free. As a result of the pan not having filler, it is a little more "floppy" and flexible than some other silicone pans. This just means that you need to place it on a cookie sheet before placing in the oven. What is really awesome about this company is that they sent me a list of tips and recommendations for using the pan via email after I ordered it. Including the tip to place the pan on a cookie sheet when using thinner batters.For my first silicone baking experience I made Blueberry Muffins. I rubbed butter along the pan since I didn't have any cooking spray. They came out pretty darn good. I let them cool for a few minutes and then used a butter knife to pop them out. They came out right away and CLEAN. There were very few specks left on the pan. What was left cleaned off easily in the dishwasher. Yes, this pan is dishwasher safe! You can even use it in the freezer or microwave.I was pretty impressed with this pan, but wanted to try to make at least one more thing before I reviewed it. I decided to make some cornbread muffins to go with my chilli one night. I filled the cups up higher this time and I think that was a mistake. They still came out great, but some of them had a bit of a top over the pan and those were harder to remove and crumbled slightly. The other 10 or so muffins that weren't overfilled came out perfect.The pan was slightly dirtier this second time, but it still all came off easily in the dishwasher. The pan does not have a single singe, mark or spot on it after using twice. I may not be great when it comes to baking, but I do believe that I have a new friend in the kitchen now.I highly recommend OvenArt Bakeware and I plan on purchasing another one for myself so that I can make two dozen at a time. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Muffin Pan if you love silicone baking mats for cookies *by D***E on Reviewed in the United States on April 4, 2014* I received this pan as part of a review I did for my blog. I was not obligated to post my review on Amazon, but I wanted to share my experience with it. The main reason I loved this pan is that it's NOT metal. It's lightweight and very flexible... you might consider it flimsy, but it feels well made and seems like it will last a long time. I have a couple of metal muffin tins and they've gotten rusty over time. Obviously this can't rust, but the nice thing about how flexible these are is that the muffins pop right out easily.I decided to experiment with the pan a little because OvenArt mentions that you should grease the cups lightly before using them. I've used a similar product for cookies and thought the nonstick feature might make it possible to skip the grease. The top right went ungreased, the two below it were greased, and of course the rest had liners (had to bring some muffins to our neighbor). They all came out equally as easily so I think it's feasible to not grease the pan if you're feeling lazy (or forget). That said, I was very careful not to overcook my muffins so perhaps that might not be the case if the food ended up burned or if you were baking something different.I find that I like cooking with silicone mats for cookies because my cookies don't burn randomly on the bottoms. I had the same experience with this muffin pan. You could still burn the food if you leave it in too long, but I think the food cooks more evenly.The other benefit to this silicone muffin pan is that it is VERY easy to clean. If you use muffin liners, it might not make a huge difference to you, but I find it more environmentally-friendly not to use liners when I'm only baking for our household. As such, there's a lot more mess to clean up most of the time. These muffins just slid out so beautifully though... almost no mess at all. I'll need to wash them because of the grease and I want to keep these in great condition, but it's so little effort compared to cleaning my metal pans. These pans are also BPA free which is great. The pan cools more quickly than a metal pan which I thought was awesome because I have a 30 month old son who beelines for baked goods.I'll probably pick up a bunch of these at Christmas for family members because they're something most people won't necessarily have, but will love to use. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellenat bakeware *by I***S on Reviewed in Canada on March 26, 2020* This silicone muffin pan is great. I am no longer to use cup cake liners. This product is easy to clean and easy to pop up the cakes. I just use the oil left in my measuring cup to grease it.The shipping is also very fast, so I also would like to give the seller (HCT Supply LLC) 5 stars; however, the system does not allow me to do so.December 2020 update:After using it for 8 months, it is still great. I found that to grease it is not necessary.
