I don't mind exposition if it builds mood, is fun to read, or drops tidbits of information that create dramatic tension, but this was more like a mildly explicit journal entry that went on for too long. This includes the preliminary scenes that should have been building toward the main event, which had a couple of good moments but a low re-read index.The main event was quite nice and definitely re-readable. The situation and plot were well-traveled, but that is not a drawback when the details are diverting.As a straight read, the language flowed well, but there were three things that got in my way. 1. Using last names for the first half of the text and first names for the last half was more confusing than intimate. Changing horses midstream doesn't work. 2. The main character's given name is Carol Anne. This name has two common connotations: baby boomers born in the mid-1940s (think of the dentist's secretary on Bob Newhart, or "Bob and Carol and Ted and Alice"), and the little girl from the movie Poltergeist. The name hinders the character more than it helps her. 3. The title makes a promise that is not kept in the text.Those minor quibbles aside, this was a fun read, and I will definitely look for more from this author. ### ⭐⭐⭐ She is perfectly happy living in her corporate world and having sexual relations ... *by K***R on Reviewed in the United States on July 5, 2017* Carol Anne doesn't want or have time for a relationship. She is perfectly happy living in her corporate world and having sexual relations with her gorgeous assistant Mark. He is just perfect for her and the best part is that he is fully aware that this is a "no strings attached" relationship. But when Carol Anne goes to interview the prospective secretary Cindy, all thoughts of Mark go out the window. There is just something about Cindy that gets Carol Anne's juices pumping.... Who would have known that a female could cause this much of a stir. With her relationship with Mark now questionable and a few chance encounters with Cindy, will Carol Anne go to the other side and enjoy the forbidden fruit of Cindy?Want a quick steamy read that will get you going? A must on someone's Kindle.This ARC was provided in return for a honest review ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Enslaving Story Well Written. *by F***T on Reviewed in the United States on September 25, 2015* This was a read filled with passion and lust featuring a turn of the tables on a powerful and Dominant woman. Every scene and sensation in the story was described in vivid detail. There are elements of frustration that build into stress which later are relieved and the cycle begins again in ways that keep the reader engaged and infatuated.The characters were deep enough that you could connect with them and fleshed out enough to add an element of realism to the story.The story stands alone without needing the support of another tale while at the same time it will leave you wanting more. Fortunately, there is a sequel to add another layer.
