If your laces are just a little smaller (.5mm) than 1/8" I think it would work. **Q: will his hold 7mm cord** A: I doubt that it will. I use 550 Paracord, which is 4mm, and it just fits. I don't think anything thicker would fit. **Q: OK with bungi cord?
