I order and received a different 5" damper bade by ECOPRO originally but there were two springs on the 5" damper flaps, and it took quite a force to push open the flaps, so I ended up returning that and ordering the Neverest® RK 5" Backdraft Shutter Damper. The damper opens with a minimal amount of pressure and the quality of the unit is great. My issue was that we have a down draft cooktop and when there was a descent amount of wind outside, we would get a flow of cold air (IT was in the early spring) blowing out the downdraft grill on the cooktop, so I needed to prevent the wind draft from blowing into the ducting from outside. I installed the Backdraft Shutter Damper in a 5" metal flexible duct, and it took about 45 minutes from start to finish to complete the job. Now even with the slightest outside breeze the damp shuts and does not allow any draft into the house! I ended up removing one of the springs to make it open easier. The foam lip had a small gap I just taped up.
