She mainly tries to eat the mat. However, it is great if you are trying to cool your baby down since you can fill it with cold water. Offers a different texture for your baby which is good too.Update: My daughter is now 18 months and she has fun laying on the mat and I move her/Slosh it so she bounces. Still doesn’t keep her entertained too long, but something different. The water-bed like mat kept him interested and entertained him while he was on his stomach. He also started to learn how to roll over with the change in height.
