A: Yep works on PS4. Start up / boot times appears to be faster than with stock drive.  1TB drive gives available space of 860Gb.

**Q: Does this drive really read/write at around 6Gbps (Gigabits per second)?!?**
A: The SATA 3Specification allows for up to 6Gbps, this is the theoretical burst throughput and is based on a number of things. The actual speed will depend heavily on if you are using in with a Laptop that SATA connection is for SATA3, Memory, Processor and BUS speed. Not to mention this is a 5400 RPM hard drive with 64MB of memory and 8 GB of Solid State Memory. Running Disk Speed Test on a 2011 2 Ghz i7 Quad using as a stress test of 5 GB got an average of 63 MB/s Write and 59 MB/s read with a 1GB file averaging better at 83 MB/s Write and 79 MB/s Read. Appears to be faster than the average 5400 RPM hard drive.   It will speed up your computer as most of the often used data will be shuffled to the SSD portion.  I got this drive for about $95 replacing the upgraded 500 GB Harddrive. Once installed it boots up in nearly half the time as previous and all applications are much quicker to launch with very little lag. It was well worth the price for double the capacity and double the speed vs 3-4 times the speed and 1/8th the capacity a comparably priced SSD drive would cost.

**Q: apple compatible?**
A: Of course it's compatible with Apple. Just need to format the drive during OS X installation. Apple uses SATA, the drive is SATA.It doesn't matter what brand or model the drive is as long as it's a 2 1/2 inch for a Mac Mini\MacBook\MacBook ProFor the iMac it's a 3 1/2

**Q: Will work for reads but how does it handle writes to protect dirty write down data if not mirrored for writes?**
A: The SSD portion of the drive is not a cache. It is static. What is written to the SSD portion is retained even when the power is off. The 64MB cache works on this drive just as it works on traditional hard drives. I've owned one of these drives for nearly two years. It is worth every penny. Just as it says, over time, it becomes faster as it reorganizes the most used software (including the OS) to the SSD.
