I bought an 8' x 5' piece of carpeting, and was very pleased to see how thick, heavy and luxurious it was. I cut out a small piece to fit around the base of the toilet, and as mentioned in the product description, the edges are unfinished. You will get small pieces of nap coming off when edges aren't finished, but this isn't a big problem. When I finally had to wash it, thanks to a grandson who can't aim very well, I expected a lot of nap edge fibers to be collected in the lint trap and there was hardly any at all! It washed beautifully considering its size and weight, and I hung it to dry overnight. It looked even better than when I first bought it after I replaced it in the bathroom. Exceptionally nice rubber backing too. I expect this to last a long time! I have had similar products over the years from another company and they were nowhere near as nice and well made as this. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wonderful option for odd shaped rug needs *by R***S on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on July 5, 2017* After searching EVERYWHERE for carpets to fit my odd-shaped bathroom, I was going to order this for wall to wall install. My husband nixed that idea, so instead, I ordered a large piece and had it cut into two pieces, so I have two area rugs, each of which, while large, are still small enough for me to wash in my machine. I may round the corners, I may trim to snug one piece up around the toilet base, or I may leave them as is. Service was excellent, color (platinum) was beautiful. It was not super thick carpet, but I didn't want that as I thought that could be a bigger trip hazard, so I'm happy.UPDATE 6/2020: in great shape, and I realized I should pass along that I chose not to wash these in my machine which has an agitator, but instead take to a laundromat with tumble washers. I think an agitator could really be rough on the backing, and they will last longer if they are not put through that rough handling. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ I like that I was able to order by the lineal ... *by O***G on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on June 30, 2015* Although it is the type of floor covering I was searching for, it is slightly off color compared to what I wanted. I must confess, however, after searching MANY MANY websites this supplier had the color that was closest to the shade I wanted. I like that I was able to order by the lineal foot to reduce waste while cutting the carpet to fit the bathroom. I like the texture and smooth feeling.
