I'm not so keen myself as I took the bowl round the corner to a dog show as I don't like my dogs using other people's bowls. It was lucky I had put it into a carrier bag as it leaked all over the place. There was just about enough water in it to last them luckily they don't drink an awful lot when we go out.However, I did buy another one because the dogs love it so much they prefer using this to the other portables which are left down just to make sure that they got water.
