The camera is hooked up to it own network without internet . The camera ,once it's setup through the V380Saop, is capable of recording and playback. The camera also has an alarm feature to deter criminals and the ability to talk through the camera. The notion detection and night vision works well too. This is an affordable way to monitor a room while you are away.
