The tank hasa lid so I was having a hard time keeping the temperature below 80. The fan doesn't seem to blow a lot of air but ever since I put it on the tank, I can keep my temperature at 77. I don't think it would be good for any tank bigger than 30 gallons though. So I bought both. Please don’t buy this, I should have known when I saw a USB. This fan runs on 5V 1A; layman’s terms that’s very very low. If you want any cooling you need a real 12V blower at the perfect angle. This didn’t make any difference at all. Get the bigger real fans, and go for the best looking one that isn’t too much of an I soar. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for 15 gal axolotl tank *by G***Z on Reviewed in the United States on September 9, 2020* I bought this for my ~15 gal axolotl tank and it’s been really helpful. When I turned it on, I was shocked by how quiet it is. I wouldn’t describe it as “whisper quiet,” but it’s not anywhere near as loud as I expected it to be. It also works very quickly; the tank dropped about a degree in temperature within the first twenty minutes and by the end of the day it had gone from about 71 degrees (F) to just above 69. The next day it finally hit 68 which was really where I wanted it, and it also doesn’t increase the water flow that much at all (ideal for axolotls!!). I wish the cord was just a LITTLE longer, because it does lean a bit and I can’t move it because I had to cut a hole in the lid of the tank (gotta keep the lid on because cat).
