It works SOOOO much better than Wilton's fondant rolling mat. It might cost more but is worth every penny.PROS:1. This mat stays in place while rolling the fondant, which the Wilton mat did not.2. Fondant did not stick and was easy to lift off. No powdered sugar necessary.3. Does not stain easily. I accidentally got food coloring on the mat a couple times, but it all came off after rolling the fondant over the stained area or wiping it with a damp cloth. I don't know if the stain will stay if you leave it there for a prolonged period of time though. I didn't want to test that out.4. I can roll out the fondant MUCH thinner on this mat compared to Wilton's mat. Whenever I tried to roll it out thin on the Wilton mat, it was always very difficult to lift off without being damaged. With this silicone mat, it's sooo much easier!5. The size is great! It gives you more than enough room to work.CONS:1. My mat doesn't lay perfectly flat. The middle of the longer edges of the mat lift slightly off the table. If you try to smooth them out, the mat lifts on another edge. I may have just gotten a defective mat, but it's not too problematic for me so I just kept mine.I would rate this mat 5 stars, but because of the defect I gave it 4. Other than that, I highly recommend this mat to any cake decorator. I have a sheeter and it works effortlessly. I can get my fondant thin which allows for smoother effortless coverage. I love that I can adjust the shape of the rolled fondant on the mat, add additional fondant pieces for length/width and "reroll" through the sheeter without a hiccup. The fondant peels off without sticking and a pizza cutter won't destroy the mat.HOWEVER, the blue color bleeds through so be careful when using white fondant. I still use it but I peel it off first and place it on my cakes with the blue stripes on the underside...get it? It's a hassle for larger cakes but not bad for cakes under 12". It's also textured so if you're looking for smooth fondant you have to peel it off first and lay it on the cake with the textured side down.
