There is no mention of this on Amazon.com. I will not buy any game that requires online activation. This will not get installed. I'm extremely upset. I checked a digital download site and it said the game was DRM free. I guess only the DVD versions need Steam. Why don't they list system requirements for games? ### ⭐⭐⭐ Good game *by W***N on June 14, 2012* I really like this game i just wish the downloaded expansion would work and that there was a quick start guide in the box there is a pdf on the dvd but it is over 30 pages long and not tabbed to jump to different sections but all in all it is fun if you like strategy games so far the AI has beaten me several times and there is a bit of a learning curve. I hope to soon go on line to play against others. One other downside the publishers web site is not very user friendly so help is questionable. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Commander: Conquest... *by G***N on February 1, 2013* Of the games I've recently purchased, I have found this very much to my liking. The 4 advisors are an interesting twist, sometimes helpful, sometimes irksome, but I find their dialogue mostly constructive, directive. A very satisfying game for my level of experience with strategy games. I appreciate the open ended process of this storyline and the changing locations of the colonial sites make this game very replayable.
