The  TRENDnet USB to RS-232 Serial Converter TU-S9 (White) and Prolific  Plugable USB to RS-232 DB9 Serial Adapter (Prolific PL2303HX Chipset)  perform nicely and perfectly with this cable.The Diablo cable flexes without cracking or breaking and has never hiccuped or caused an issue that didn't already exist and occurred with an OEM Cisco or Hewlett Packard con cable.I suspect Diablo might make Cisco's cables or they both buy their con cables from the same manufacturer.If I need Cialis length, I'll double my stretch with  Diablo Cable DB9 Female to RJ45 Female Console Adapter for Cisco CAB-9AS-FDTE  and another console cable if their con port has enough voltage for the extended length (Console cable lengths are officially constrained by the bps speed and 9,600 baud is supported to 15ft.
