Review: Slim, lightweight, comfortable, most worn - Skagen Melbye wears very thin, is extremely lightweight, and is very comfortable to wear everyday. The metal strap is infinitely adjustable. It is very tolerant to sweat showing no staining or damage after a Florida summer. The strap clasp requires you to read the instructions but easy to adjust after that. After three months, it’s my most worn watch. I love the Danish minimalist design.

But my other two lasted probably average of 6 years. Batteries need replacing every 6 mo to 1 year but they keep time well although the second hand does not precisely align with the second tics on the watch face and to me that just yells cheap. In every other way--size, weight heft, comfort, awareness--it really feels super nice and I have no doubt I will get compliments on this one too. From experience I would not subject this or any other Skagen watch to heavy duty work. It will actually take it but the crystal will get scratched or in worse cases can be cracked. In fact, that's why I needed a new watch. I tried a cheap $30 casio--perfectly acceptable and a decent watch but just not for me. So there ya have it maties..hope this info serves ya well!

Though it was difficult at first to set the say, date, and time due to a printing error in the directions, I finally figured it out. The direction shows three positions for the pullout know (position one for time setting, position two for month setting, and position three for day/date setting). However, there is no position three on the watch. With all that said, the watch is keeping excellent time. It is a sleek design and is great for doing activities since it is lite and sits closely to your skin.
