It worked okay at first...I got a couple of hours off the power source, which isn't awesome but is better than it WAS. And I didn't expect this to have the same life as the first battery that was in my computer, but I should think the thing should have lasted longer than this. It is now almost double what I paid for it...frankly, if you're in the market, go for something cheaper. No issues with installation. As for battery life, have not yet did a real test yet. As others have mentioned, a new batter gave life back to my MacBook Pro Mid 2009.
