Sandalwood-lover's dream right here. Official notes are as follows: Top notes are saffron, citruses, marigold and spices Middle notes are Indian jasmine, Australian sandalwood and rose petals Base notes are benzoin and vanilla. I'm not a talented "nose" when it comes to fragrances. I can't detect really any of the notes mentioned other than sandalwood upon first spray. Nor did I realize I like sandalwood this much. When I sniff my arm, I can detect florals (rose and jasmine). I can't wait for the drydown! The opening is lovely and elegant. I could see how many people think this fragrance screams older woman, but I don't think so at all. I'm in my mid-30s and am LOVING this. If you like warm, cozy fragrances with a touch of elegance and mystique, you'll like this. I haven't directly smelled benzoin before, but I've read this is a component that turns many people off. Its possible this will "turn" on me once it settles on the skin, but I'll update my review if that's the case. I'd say this is a better fall/winter/cooler temp/evening fragrance.
