It plugs into the original box and all the old expansion modules still worked. It does clip into the old box but it DOES NOT close perfectly. It hangs open a little bit. But for the price, I don’t care about that. All my sprinklers worked the second I plugged it in. **Q: Old icc knob don’t work with out pressing hard** A: This kit will retrofit the old ICC timers and repair the new ICC2 timers. **Q: I have an old (installed in 2004) ICC-800SS controller that is acting up! Does this fit the old controller?** A: No guarantee , but it did fit mine that was installed in 2008. The old ICC control knob was having dead spots as you turned it. It was pretty easy, straight-forward installation. **Q: Goes this come with antenna? Is it controller through an ap?** A: The ICC series timers (both the old version and the new ICC2) do not have WiFi capability. If you have an existing ICC timer you can replace the front panel with an HCC Panel WiFI kit (HCCFPUP is the part number) and then you will have WiFi capability and can be controlled from anywhere with the Hydrawise app. It comes with an external antenna kit also. I have been a Hunter user since 2003, couldn't get support, refund or replacement of a ICC2 that lost its brain. My app required use of 2 programs, 4 days a week, 1 start time (each). This controller when off, populated all eight start times, reset seasonal adjustments and changed run times of one of my 2 zones. I did a hard reset after discovering all these defects and concluding that it wasn't me. The trouble persisted after the hard reset and reprograming and I could only trust manual on and off for the zones before winter shut down. Hunter advised I need a software upgrade, but this product was not upgradeable, therefore I'm out of luck.
