I resumed taking Gymnema Sylvestre and somewhere between 60 and 90 days I realized my average fasting blood sugar had dropped about 10 mg/dL. I take one capsule of 400mg Gymnema Sylvestre twice a day with 600 mg of Alpha Lipoic Acid. Together they have a synergenic effect. When I ran out of Gymnema Sylvestre I continued to take the Alpha Lipoic Acid alone. By the second day, my fasting blood sugar level had gone up 8 mg/dL. After my reorder of Gymnema Sylvestre arrived, it took about a week of twice a day supplementing with Gymnema Sylvestre for my average fasting blood sugar level to drop back down about 10 mg/dL. I have had no negative side effects from using the herb. This is my experience with Gymnema Sylvestre.
