I have cats that like to sleep and play on the bed and their claws don't get caught up in the stitching, the quilt has a wonderful "S" shape stitch pattern to it and the stitches are small and close together.The seams on the patchwork squares have ample allowance and they are not coming apart like other quilts I have owned. The quilt is just gorgeous, nice mix of colors. I normally have to purchase a king size quilt for my queen bed, but not with this one, queen fits queen perfectly. Plenty of drop all around and plenty of length to tuck your pillows under it if you want. This quilt is also reversible to a nice sage green,the green you see between the two purple stripes on the border.
