The mechanism locks very securely, and no matter how much I contort my wrist I can't get it to fail or come unlocked. The side buttons don't rattle either and feel very solid. When unlocking the deployant the button have very positive feedback and the mechanism opens with authority. The polished finish on the clasp is done quite well and doesn't look cheap or low quality at all. I am now using this with my Oris Big Crown Pointer Date, and I think it looks right at home.
