For instance some of the recipes that stood out to me include: Breakfast Tacos, Serrano Pepper Burger, Italian Potato Salad, Spinach Salad with Honey Dressing and Honeyed Pecans, Strawberry-Lemonade Layer Cake, Mix N Match Spring Pasta Toss, Baked Zucchini Chips, Lemon-Rosemary-Garlic Chicken With Potatoes, One Pot Pasta With Tomato Basil Sauce, Tropical Rice Pudding, Grape Focaccia, Lemon Cupcakes with Lavender Frosting, Strawberry Ginger Lemonade Floats, Smoky Chopped Salad with Avocado, and a SHOW-STOPPING CAKE (White Cake with Bourbon Buttercream, with 7 minute frosting, Sugar Coated Orange Slices, and Sparkling Cherries). And there are so many more recipes that look great. Also, in the December section of this cookbook there is a section for several party punches. THESE PUNCHES HAVE A TOTAL WOW FACTOR to them and they look like they would taste pretty good. It is a complete shame that the photos of these party punches are not shown in color. I have the December 2014 issue from SL and these punches look so amazing in color.Cons:This cookbook is around 95% black and white. And all of the black and white photos do not do any justice to a lot of the amazing recipes. I guess Southern Living doesn't know that PHOTOS OF FOOD DON'T TRANSLATE WELL WHEN THE PHOTOS ARE IN BLACK AND WHITE. Hasn't Southern Living heard that when it comes to food PRESENTATION IS EVERYTHING. Also, a lot of the black and white photos are so awful that they make the food look like it went through a blender.Final Thoughts:I'm scoring this cookbook at 4/5 because of the lack of color photos. However, if this cookbook was completely in color then it would get 10 stars from me. Ok, now whether to keep the book or not: Well, I'm keeping this book because there is no way I can pass up all of these amazing recipes. And, by the way I spent some time going through this book and I have to say that a lot of the photos that are in color are basically a showcase of Southern Livings top rated recipes from 2014. I know this because I looked up a lot of SL recipes from this book on-line to check for viewers ratings. For instance the "Lemon-Rosemary-Garlic Chicken and Potatoes" and the "Strawberry-Lemonade Layer Cake" were absolute huge hits, along with a lot of other recipes in this book. And lastly, I have to say that out of all of the Southern Living books that I have, this edition is actually one of their best because of all of the amazing recipes that are included. 2014 was definitely a great year for Southern Living as far as recipes go. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ My book was used, but it was in nearly new condition and a good value! *by J***R on Reviewed in the United States on December 5, 2021* I have collected Southern Living Annual Cookbooks for years.
