The price was a lot for not knowing if it would show up on my medium brown hair. I decided to get this on a half off sale after buying a different color in the small bottle. I use it to touch up my hair every few days after dying with Splat Midnight Tanzanite, and it keeps my hair vibrant and beautiful. I leave it in for about 30 minutes (putting on dry hair) and then add a little water and lather in the shower for a couple minutes. You can wash your hair after if you want, but this cleans hair and pulls oils out nicely if your hair is not super dirty.
