## Overview

The QED Screwloc Forte 8-pack banana plugs feature twin screw clamps and 24k gold plating for superior conductivity and oxidation resistance. Designed with spring-loaded 4mm plugs, they ensure a secure, universal fit across speaker and amplifier sockets. Engineered in Britain by QED, these connectors offer audiophile-grade performance with easy DIY installation, making them a must-have upgrade for any high-fidelity audio setup.

## Description

QED's reputation for innovation and technical excellence is known throughout the world. The latest computer-aided design techniques allow their research and development team to keep pace with technological advances and deliver products that achieve the highest levels of performance and reliability. This is why QED products are recommended by so many of the world’s leading hi-fi and home theatre equipment manufacturers. The new Screwloc Forte banana plug section is designed to maximise contact area throughout the wide tolerance range encountered in 4 mm amplifier and speaker sockets. Some can be quite tight whereas others may be loose, so the spring loaded Forte blade is designed to fit into smaller and larger sockets with equal insertion force. This means that the contact area is maximised and the connection remains uniformly tight. These Screwloc Forte banana plugs are made of brass which has roughly twice the resistivity of copper. For this reason the plug was devised so that its cross-sectional area would be at least double that of the cable to which it was connected effectively cancelling out the extra resistance of the plug material. QED then plates the connector with high purity gold which has a resistivity almost as low as copper but more importantly does not oxidise in air.

Review: Very good quality and easy to fit - Excellent connection to the speaker wire and gives a solid feel to the amp.
Review: Perfect Banana Plugs for QED 79 strand speaker cable - I bought these along with 30m of QED 79 Strand speaker cable. These plugs are a perfect fit for the QED cable, the two fixings screws make it easy to make a good connection, and the plugs themselves are nice and secure for both my amplifier and my speakers. I've also been impressed with the difference in sound quality compared to my previous cable and no-name plugs, I feel that the combination of the QED speaker cable with these high quality and secure plugs has definitely improved the sound from my speakers. Highly recommended.
