I've never played a piano instrument thinking it was way too hard to try. I want to start by saying that it's not that hard. I learned one simple song really on the first day.Everyone who dosen't have any basic knowledge of music can learn to play kalimba, even kids, it will be a good start for them to training music perception.At that price range, you may have several broad choices. For me, I got hooked up with the bright color and many freebies to make it easier to learn. The red/ green stickers to place on the tines to help accurately recall the position of all tone in the kalimba. The instruction book explains all of the basics like care, tuning, reading tabs, and playing songs. I downloaded the insTuner and recognized that it came almost in tune, impressive. Regardless of your experience with pianos or guitars, as kalimba has its specialized tablature, and it's easy to read. The kalimba itself is beautiful and sounds great, though it took a bit patience to learn how to strengthen my finger and extend my reach.My 2 years old boy loves it too. The sound makes him happy. Sometimes he cry and will be fascinated by the sound and soon stop crying.
