I have this plugged into an Elgato Thunderbolt 3 docking station / hub (attached to a 2018 MacBook Pro) and then onto an HDMI monitor. Even going via the docking station, this adapter 'just works'. The aesthetics of the adapter are nice too. The cable is braided which will probably help if this is going to be taken out and about. A great buy! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Shame it doesn't fill the whole screen but otherwise very good *by J***T on 4 March 2023* When looking for a way to watch videos from my iPad onto my TV I came across the Syntech USB C to HDMI Adapter and I'm glad I did. I'd had an adapter like this previously which had a lightning end for my older iPad but I needed one that would work on my current iPad mini. This adapter has a USB C end and a HDMI end which makes it perfect for showing videos on my television. The adapter is easy to use and shows videos with good sound and picture quality. The only disappointing thing about this adapter is that it won't show videos on the whole screen which is a shame. If I play a video from any video website there will be a thick black border on my TV whereas with the old one I had it filled the entire screen. I thought maybe this was because my last adapter was an Apple one so maybe it was more compatible however when I tried a video from my photos off my iPad it did fill the whole screen without the border so the adapter must have the capabilities to fill the whole screen but it's not doing so. As the screen doesn't get filled I am only giving this adapter four stars but it would've been five if it wasn't for this annoyance.
