However, the adhesive cannot be trusted for the purpose of supporting a tarp. This is particularly true in the rain, as the adhesive seems to soften when wet.My solution was to sew the grommet tabs to my Tyvek tarp, and then cover the stitching on both sides with Tyvek tape that extended several inches onto the tarp. Because Tyvek is weakened significantly with sewing stitches, I used a long stitch and only stitched the periphery (no bar-tack). Then as an added layer of security, I used the Tyvek tape. That way even if the tarp material is weakened, the load can be transferred from the grommet tab into a part of the tarp with no stitch holes in it. This also adds additional strength to the tarp corners, which may be prone to tearing. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Super solution! *by L***K on Reviewed in the United States on January 16, 2014* These are very helpful when securing a large tarp. If the eyelet holes in the tarp are too few or just not in the places you need them, just adding one of these solves that problem.
