I like to wash them with warm water and peppermint soap in order to help curb that. The bristles are soft feeling but firm. Build nice leather easily and feels nice against the skin. Only issue is losing bristles. Great brush to get you by as you save for a more expensive brush or as a beginner brush. But the bristle loss is worrying. It may stop.
