I sprinkle a little in each corner of my ferrets' litter boxes, then add fresh litter on top of it. It takes the edge off the ammonia. It can be dusty when moving larger amounts from one container to another, so I do that outside to avoid breathing too much of it.

**Q: Can this product be used to filter out ammonia (by-product of chlorimne removal) in city water?**
A: Yes our zeolite has a high capacity for ammonia or ammonium absorption.

**Q: Which size would be good for cactus seed growing? fine or medium?**
A: Any granular should work. I recommend the 14x30 or 8x14 granular sizes.

**Q: I purchased 14x30 granular mesh in hopes to make my own water filter. How frequently would i need to replace with fresh stuff? On average.**
A: Rinse our product once, before initial use. Monitor water quality to gauge replacement times for your particular water, 3 - 4 months is a good general estimation.

**Q: Can this product be 'recharged'?**
A: Yes.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ As bonsai soil

The climate where I live is too hot in the summer to use this as bonsai soil. I need soil that holds more moisture in the hot months. It provides excellent drainage. It would be a good additive in a very rainy climate because it holds no moisture at all, less than lava gravel as a comparison. The pieces are uniform in size and clean of dust and small particles. For bonsai soil, I think pumice and lava gravel are better and more economical options, but this product will make an effective ingredient, if you need it.
