Notice the negative comments about the zipper pockets. Notice the product photo. The zipper flap is sewed on backwards - opposite the normal direction. This makes it awkward, and slow to find the zipper, and/or access the pocket, as the flap needs to be pulled back to expose the zipper (normally your hand simply slides in, moving the flap and finding the zipper in one motion). Amazon sells these same shorts with the zipper flap material sewed on normally (Donhobo appeared in the "Customers who bought this also bought" area - same shorts with flap on correctly). I bought the Singbring, and now I have bought the Donhobo also. Incidentally; a few reviewers complained the pocket opening is smaller than average, but this is good, as things do not fall out, even when the zipper is open - a 5.5' phone will fit in the front pockets, and still be zipped. Two other complaints were zipper breakage, and sewing coming loose - after about 10 wearings this has not occurred with mine. These seem the best shorts available with totally close-able pockets if you want to move a lot (material stretches, and does not hang up on knee). ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best shorts at this price point, I promise you that! *by L***Y on August 30, 2016* I bought these shorts because I was on a quest to find quality clothing items at a reasonable cost. These shorts certainly deliver. The material is light weight, stretches, and dries quickly. Zippers are durable and operate smoothly and will keep important items like keys and money right where they need to be. These are perfect for hiking or any outdoor activity.Compared to Columbia, Mountain Hardware, etc I think these stand up well in terms of performance. They may not carry the same brand recognition but at 1/4 the cost I think they are a better option for someone on a budget.Though I gave it five stars, because I like these enough to buy more, I do have a couple things that would make these a 6-star rating. First, I appreciate a draw string and elastic waistband as much as anyone, but these would look really nice with a button and a zipper fly. I mean, like as dressy as any pair of shorts could look. The fabric looks crisp and resists wrinkling, so they pass the test in that regard. I just feel weird being out with my wife, on a date, in a pair of drawstring anything. Maybe that is my own personal hang up. ### ⭐⭐ A little long, wrong color, and bad sewing. *by A***R on November 18, 2017* I have a 31” waist and the mediums fit as expected. They’re a little long for me though, coming a good bit below the knee. The reason for the 2 stars is that I ordered 2 different color for an upcoming trip and they sent 2 of the same color. Not a huge issue. Also, one of the pairs I ordered had the back pocket sewn into the inseam and I had to cut it out carefully to not cut the pocket.
