I do think the tortoise shell color is less glaringly cheap-looking than the all-black, but no one is going to confuse these for the name brand. I bought this pair because I have a -.5 prescription that really isn’t debilitating enough to need glasses daily: even for driving. But, I’m going on a vacation for the first time in several years, and I wanted to be able to see the wildlife far away! This was the perfect find for that need: I can see the leaves on trees across the valley, and I feel comfortable in the sun.
