I read the reviews saying it squirts rather than mist spray. For that reason I held off buying one. I later learnt it’s all about the angle. This is very true. It takes a few tries to get the correct angle and eventually it becomes second nature. We have an airfryer and we lightly coat some food with oil which we normally would fry. This makes the task easier and allows for more of an even coverage. Some reviews say it doesn't mist, but it does. If you press the button slowly it comes out more like a jet, but if you give it a fast press it comes out as a fine mist. I think this makes the product even better. You can use it for a jet/stream to cover any small patches in an air fryer etc. or a mist on a waffle iron (as I've done) when making waffles or 'chaffles'. As someone who follows a 'keto' lifestyle, I struggle to get decent bread recipes.
