I had single waffle irons all from waring that were older than I am and they all died ( all 6) and we upgraded to this beauty and she's great. I don't find it shallow at all. It's also a dream to clean. It comes with extra drip trays and a measuring cup ( which I find measures out the perfect amount). I would like this beauty for the house but ..for it to be worth it I'd have to eat waffles often so I will continue to enjoy this at work.
