Review: Favorite Shoes! - I bought these gray striped Keds for a 2 week trip to London. I have a couple pairs of water-resistant Keds that I love but are not great spring shoes. I got the size 9, which is what I wear in my other Keds. These size 9's were a bit larger than my other Keds. I thought, at first, that I would have to return them, but I tried them for a couple days at home and they seemed fine. The real test was my trip to London, and these shoes were THE BEST! I walked between 5-10 miles around the city everyday and these shoes were fabulous. It was actually good that they were slightly too big (my feet always swell after hours on my feet and then my shoes start to bother me), but these cute shoes never hurt my feet or gave me blisters. The thick padding on the heel was incredibly comfortable and never rubbed. I also wear an insert with all of my shoes and the insert fit perfectly in the shoes. Another thing I love about Keds is the shoelaces. Every other pair of lace shoes I own need to be double knotted to keep them from untying, but Keds shoelaces never come untied with a single. They are also the cutest shoes ever! I have gotten many compliments. And, the price is absolutely awesome. The only slight negative with these shoes is that they are canvas and very light (basically white) and I picked up a lot of dirt while tromping around the city, but that doesn't really bother me.
