I was walking her on the local country park with two of the other seven refugees using this lead when she suddenly became hyper alert. Despite having never seen, or smelled, a deer in her six years of life she picked up a scent that triggered every single 'Chase' 'Kill' 'Eat' neuron in her body. Actually seeing the deer provoked an acceleration that comfortably outstripped my 'early hours meander through the woods' reaction time. I clicked the lead to 'lock' and transitioned from static vertical to horizontal accelerating within a few microseconds. I can now say, with complete confidence, that this lead can stand well in excess of 500N of force and I can fit 9 expletives into four seconds when required. A very well engineered product. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Lead *by D***Y on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 2 June 2017* Amazing lead, everyone with a large dog needs one of these, most of the time our dog is ok off his lead because he's well trained but if you go somewhere that they have to be kept on a lead at least they can still have their freedom, it's so strong I think you could have a very large dog on this safely and It's extremely comfortable to hold ### ⭐ Reluctant repeat buyer *by M***I on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 17 November 2017* These last an average of 8 weeks with our three year old springer, and no, he does not chew them. The tapes fray and start to jam the mechanism and/or get too weak for use. The small grommet on the tape can get swallowed and thus also jams the mechanism. The lead is not designed to allow repair if it jams. When the lead is wet after a few weeks of use it starts to fold as it rewinds so the whole lead cannot recoil and it goes slack with maybe 3 metres still not wound it. This can give a risk that the dog is not fully controlled due to the slack lead.
