After a string of escapes from typical crates from local pet stores, we bought two of these crates.THE GOOD:These crates to me is that the main doors have two latches--which engage by simply shutting the door--so even if one does not quite catch, the other one does. The deep tray below the crate bottom grate is great for keeping the floor of the crate clean for our dogs, while catching anything that falls. An added bonus is that we noticed a dramatic reduction in dog hair in the room--because it was all collecting in the trays. By in large, the crates are solidly built and reliable.THE CONS:The grates on the bottom of the crates are not secured in any way, so they can be very noisy. We solved this via zip ties. The welds are inconsistent and while we have not had any joints fail as others have reported, we had the bolt at the bottom of one of the doors detach from the door and it allowed our dog to escape when the hinge bolt could then fall out. This is minor, but I want to note that it may take several tries to turn each panel "the right way" when assembling the crate--the instructions are image-only and not very clear.BUY AGAIN?Yes, definitely. I just need to figure out how to replace the de-welded bolt for one of the doors. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Good Cage / Poor Assembly Instructions *by L***N on Reviewed in the United States on June 14, 2015* This is a well built cage. My dog chewed his way out of a flimsier cage and bent the bars. This one should keep him from doing that. However the directions on how to put this cage together are the worst instructions I have ever seen. I put the cage together then found out I had the right and left side swapped so I had to disassemble the whole thing and repeat about 20 minutes of work. The key to getting the right and left side correct is to make sure the holes on the top are towards the rear of the cage. Most instruction books show which bolts to use at what steps. These instructions don't. I ended up with five parts from the hardware bag left over. The cage is solid so I don't know where to put the remaining bolts. Anyway aside from the 20 minutes I wasted and the left over parts there is nothing wrong and it is heavy duty. Wheels work well. My only complaint is the front gate hinge requires you to close it and then put a S hook through a hole to make sure the dog doesn't get out. I think they could have designed a simpler latch that was still heavy duty. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We both this crate after our 45 pound golden lab/cattle ... *by A***. on Reviewed in the United States on August 9, 2015* We both this crate after our 45 pound golden lab/cattle dog mix literally ripped apart his first metal crate and chewed up the trim around our front door. I wanted something where he couldn't get his nose through the bars enough the pry the bars with his teeth and this has done the trick! We've had it for about a month and you can see a couple bent bars that he got his front teeth around, and he managed to dent one of the large frame bars, but ultimately he hasn't been able to get out of it!I think he has finally accepted that he can't get out of it and he actually goes in there when we are home at night just to rest!Thank you My1st Pet!
