However I decided to try one since I somehow injured my right knee last Christmas. If I was going to review based on my first night, this would’ve received one star. It’d be one of those “one star is too good!” Reviews. Mainly because I (think) I was using it wrong and woke up with pain I didn’t have the night before.Thankfully I thought to try again before reviewing.I’m not saying this officially, but there may be a right and wrong way to use this pillow (I don’t remember receiving any instructions). As per my original go, I laid with my inner leg touching my bed, the pillow between my legs with the curved side up, and my other leg on top. I believe my mistake was having the curved part facing up, as the next night I tried it with the flat side up—no pain!So if you try this pillow, please do yourself a huge favor and try out different ways to position it. So far, this one seems just as good and it was a good price.I would say it's a medium firmness. It's lightweight. The zippered cover is soft and has an elastic band on the back so you can strap it over a chair. It has the standard memory foam smell, but that did mostly dissipate in the first day or two. So far I have just used it under my neck while laying down and it is pretty supportive. I am also able to lay on my side and use it. I have a hard time with pillows so i rotate them around, it just depends on what I need at the time. Put it under your knees or between them when laying sideways. It certainly yields some pain relief long run but it is not really a pain relieving device. (This is why I gave it only 4 stars for pain releif) Rather, it mitigates or delays the arrival of back pain which occurs during sleep in my experience.The best thing is that it has a removalable cover that is EASY to remove and machine wash clean and reinstall. That should make up your mind right for you there.
