The solar pump keeps the water moving and provides visual interest when viewed from the house or in the yard. I've had two solar pumps before, and this one is far superior. The others needed bright direct overhead sun to work at all. This one even works in somewhat cloudy or overcast conditions.The first pump I received did not work properly. When I submitted my return request, the seller sent a replacement immediately.
