Every recorder player should have & use this book.  Explains how to hold the recorder, how to blow, how to move the fingers, how to move the tongue.I'm an intermediate/advanced student who missed the basics because of being self-taught.  This fixes many of the problems I've come up against limiting my progress.

Molto più di un buon libro! L'autore ha la rara capacità di saper cogliere e sintetizzare in poche pagine gli aspetti essenziali della propria disciplina.I progressi arrivano già dopo la lettura delle prime pagine, anche se l'autore si premura di avvertire lo studente che studiare il flauto è un lungo percorso.

As other reviews have said this is not really suitable for a beginner. I can read music so I thought this book would be suitable for me but it provides very, very few exercises for practising simple pieces.If you are a complete beginner I wouldn't recommend this book.It provides a detailed way of how to hold the recorder properly, which is useful for anyone not learning with a teacher. Also it gives clear guidance on how to play low f# and g# .
