So we finally decided to request a replacement to try out again. The replacement was sent out so quickly. We received it on the 2nd day and started to use it happily without any glitches. Most importantly, my husband loves it! ### ⭐ 1.0 out of 5 stars Not the Same *by D***D on Reviewed in the United States on January 19, 2023* I don't understand what happened with this brand.I bought my Plantronics Backbeat Fit II headset in 2015. 8 years later, they still work flawlessly and hold several hours' worth of charge.My girlfriend has gotten into running, and she wanted a set of bluetooth earbuds.First, I bought her the BackBeat Fit 3150. They were horrible (see my review), but I've never had good experience with any earbud set... They always seem to disconnect or get out of sync.So I bought the BackBeat Fit 2100. I thought I was buying a new generation of the same headset I already own, but these just aren't the same...Out of the box, they were dead. Which is no problem (but unusual). We gave them a full charge. With my BackBeat Fit II, the light is red when it's charging and turns blue when it's fully charged.This version, the light is always red. When it's fully charged, the light fades on and off very slowly (still red). I found this annoying because you can't easily glance over and check the status. You have to watch for 5 seconds to see if the light stays red or starts to fade off.Pairing and sound quality were fine, as expected. These aren't noise cancelling and they aren't meant to be.There are some upgraded abilities on this version, that aren't on my BackBeat 2, that give slightly greater control over the music and incoming calls (i.e. you can restart a song or send a call directly to voicemail). Nice to have, not a big deal.The real problem is the battery. These simply WILL NOT hold a charge.Fully charged, the earbuds hold less than 30 minutes of life. Successive charging leaves them in worse shape. Day three we barely got 5 minutes of working time after 2.5 hours of charging.It's worth noting Poly did offer to replace these, but I opted for an Amazon return. Given the large numbers of other reviewers that have had the same problem with the battery, I was worried a second set would die outside of the return window.Frankly, I have lost trust in the brand. I won't be buying another Poly product again, but I am so grateful to have my old BackBeat Fit II. With any luck I'll get another 8 years out of them... Guess my girlfriend will just have to run in silence :-) ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Works well with one main complaint *by M***N on Reviewed in the United States on July 12, 2021* I use these head phones regularly and they work well and do the job they were designed to do. I like the fit and they do not bother my ears. The one complaint is that once they announce the power level is low, they do not last very long. And the transition from full power to no power can be quite fast. So you can get caught in a long walk or run with dead headphones until the next charge.
