I needed a way to store small amounts of oil based paints and wood stains. A chemist friend told me to look for "HDPE lab bottles", as they would resist the solvents in the paints and stains. These came 12 to a box, store 8 oz. of fluid in each bottle, and come with well fitted lids and top rate HDPE materials. They are easy to fill, easy to pour from, and DO NOT BREAK if you drop them on a concrete floor. I marked the bottles -- a Sharpie works great -- and stash them in the shipping box to keep them organized and accessible. Time will tell how well they preserve the paints, but the chemist is pretty confident. Not the cheapest bottles, but keeping the paints and stains fresh pays off.
