Thick and comfortable. It is long lasting as I have had mine a year. I'm still using it and would buy it again. It's durable and hasn't town makes any mattress comfortable. You do sink in there though!!!This week on it I am feeling like it may be dented in and not springing back into shape as it should. I am a side sleeper and only 135 pounds so I should not make a dent in it. I read the width and length were off and I don't know what a king is supposed to be but it measures exactly to my king size nectar mattress. I hope it holds up for a long time. This has saved me from buying a new bed, which I was so close to doing. Also the smell wasn't that bad. I put in on the day I got it. I hardly noticed.
