Couldn't finish them off. *by J***T on Reviewed in the United States on September 23, 2016* Update; still loved my old boots, same exact model, but the new ones I ordered have all plastic parts for eyelets,quick lace tabs and the tabs to keep tight. Also you cantell leather is lower quality than previously. EXTREMLEY DISAPOINTED, returning. Not only are the materials cheaper quality, but the boots were priced 50$ higher! I was willing to pay the difference, but not on less quality, going to contact Timberland and find out if they changed or if these are knockoffs.Start off, these boots are amazing from the start. You can put them on and walk a marathon or grueling work,no break in, and have no sore feet by the end.Just see the photo of my average work day in the distance/frequency I'm moving/pushing/pulling, doing irrigation/construction. I need the right tools for the job and this boot offers the key factors I require, plus some.I've owned this pair for over a year. I kicked a shovel back at the wrong angle and ripped up the sole about 2 months ago. I planned to wear them till complete failure (expecting it to come soon) but they are still comfortable all day and hiking.This is the normal time of year I get a new pair of boots to finish off the outdoor season before plowing with dry feet. With excitment I am imagining these boots brand new again. The pictures are after giving up on the boots, up till 2 months ago they were waterproof. I cleaned the boots nightly and used a boot oil to keep the leather good. Once I stopped that and the dirt built up the cushion sole started to separate. Didn't affect comfort at all, even with wet feet ( after standing in muddy trentches) these have been the most comfortable boot to have. Another reason so hard to put down they still smell new, and that's saying something. Usually the antimicro thing seems gimicky, but this has worked! Also the inserts hold up! They are worn in but not through.The saftey toe took a pick axe tip on full swing like a champ, while I was counting my toes.And for the last 3 weeks I have been acid cleaning walkways of rust stains. Which I thought for sure the acid (which it warns) would melt the boots in a day, if not 2. But noo, they have kept together despite trying to destroy them.It is an investment, but like all things, if it's in yourself, you're worth it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good boots *by W***S on Reviewed in the United States on January 3, 2020* From the back of the heel to the tip of my big toe, my feet are about 10 1/2" long. At max, my feet are a little over 3" tall and 4" wide. I bought the size 12 M US boot. They fit great. I think once the boots get used to my feet, they'll fit even better. Color is nice. I've stood in water (as seen in the picture), no leaking. I haven't pushed the water above the lace line though, so I can't say that it is waterproof above that point, BUT it certainly seems like it'll work just fine. I've had them about 3 weeks now. So far so good.Only downside is that the yellow/orange fabric that covers the inside of the color is a little rough on my skin. I find myself either leaving the boots a little more loose than I'd like, or wearing taller socks. But other than that I am happy with my purchase. ### ⭐⭐ Disappointed in the Shoddy Construction *by L***E on Reviewed in the United States on November 28, 2015* I ordered these boots for my husband last month; they were delivered on Oct. 6, 2015. Today, less than two months later, one of the rivets (where the shoe laces go through) broke apart. My husband does not have a way to fix the rivet. He says the shoe lace will eventually tear through the leather of the boot without the rivet in place to protect the opening for the shoe lace. I hope someone from Timberland or Amazon reads this review and lets us know if we have any option here. These boots are expensive. A rivet broke within two months and my husband doesn't even wear these boots daily - maybe 2 or 3 days a week! It is sad to see shoddy construction like this for a well-respected brand like Timberland. We welcome any solution here.
