Review: Works on Induction & MUCH better quality than the price might suggest. - This LARGE pot was maybe just a bit bigger (1/4" larger in diameter) than my biggest induction burner, but the huge capacity was perfect for my needs. I honestly was expecting something of lesser quality than the price suggested. The quality was clearly there (my other pots are All-Clad D3, Le Creuset, Staub). The polish, weight and fit of the lid were perfect, and the glass lid unexpectedly fit my huge all-clad saute pan, woo-hoo!. The handles were not as heavy duty as my other brands, but definitely enough to handle the load full pot. It heated at a reasonable speed on my induction burners (not like a single thickness pot--which would translate into scorching) and transferred the heat evenly to the contents based on my observations. I needed something huge for VERY occasional use, and did not want to invest in my usual brands, so this was PERFECT. I was willing to settle a bit b/c my use for this was infrequent, but I am truly pleased with this choice. The only negative I can think of (and it's a small one overall) is that on the OUTSIDE of the pot where the sides turn into the bottom, there is a small ridge--maybe a millimeter or two. This might mean a sauce dripping down the sides could catch there and take an extra minute to clean, but sauce dripping all the way down such a TALL pot unnoticed seems like a rare occurrence to me... I hope this review helps you make up your mind, and I hope you write up your discoveries too--it helps us all. Review: it will be awesome. It is exactly what I was looking for - I actually haven't used it yet but from the looks of it, it will be awesome. It is exactly what I was looking for. If my opinion changes after I use it, I will update this review. I love the vented lid, it fits perfect and it very sturdy and well built. It was also well packed and quickly shipped. ## Features - Material: 18-10 Stainless Steel; Capacity: 8 quart - Base Type: Induction Base; Colour: Metallic - Included Components: 1 Piece Stockpot Saucepot With Lid; Warranty: 1 Year Hassle Free Replacement Warranty Through Cook N Home - Dishwasher Safe - Oven Safe ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B012OIVV1C | | Best Sellers Rank | #2,259,487 in Home & Kitchen ( See Top 100 in Home & Kitchen ) #4,839 in Steamers & Idli Makers | | Brand | Cook N Home | | Capacity | 8 Quarts | | Coating Description | Stainless Steel | | Colour | metallic | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 out of 5 stars 5,230 Reviews | | Enclosure Material | Stainless Steel Tempered Glass Silicone | | Finish | Mirror Satin | | Finish Type | Mirror Satin | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00813046024400 | | Included Components | 8-quart stockpot^glass lid | | Is Oven Safe | Yes | | Is Suitable For Stovetop | Yes | | Item Dimensions D x W x H | 23.9D x 33.5W x 17H Centimeters | | Item Type Name | Quart Stockpot | | Item Weight | 2.22 kg | | Manufacturer | Cook N Home | | Manufacturer Part Number | 02440 | | Manufacturer Warranty Description | 1 year hassle free replacement warranty through cook n home | | Material | Stainless Steel Tempered Glass Silicone | | Model number | 02440 | | Number of Items | 2 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | OutputCapacity | 8 Quarts | | Pot Purpose | stock making, simmering, boiling | | Product Dimensions | 23.9D x 33.5W x 17H Centimeters | | Size | 8 Quarts | | UPC | 735343249334 793842018103 813046024400 781147889641 | | Unit Count | 1.0 Count | | With Lid | Yes | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Cook N Home - **Capacity:** 8 Quarts - **Coating Description:** Stainless Steel - **Colour:** metallic - **Finish Type:** Mirror Satin - **Is Oven Safe:** Yes - **Item Weight:** 4.9 Pounds - **Manufacturer:** Cook N Home - **Material:** Stainless Steel Tempered Glass Silicone - **Product Dimensions:** 23.9D x 33.5W x 17H Centimeters ## Images ![Cook N Home Cook N Home 18-10 Stainless Steel Stockpot Saucepot With Lid, 8 quart, 1 Piece (Metallic) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81icVh6IFeL.jpg) ![Cook N Home Cook N Home 18-10 Stainless Steel Stockpot Saucepot With Lid, 8 quart, 1 Piece (Metallic) - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61YvFtouVhL.jpg) ![Cook N Home Cook N Home 18-10 Stainless Steel Stockpot Saucepot With Lid, 8 quart, 1 Piece (Metallic) - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71D1P3Y3PPL.jpg) ![Cook N Home Cook N Home 18-10 Stainless Steel Stockpot Saucepot With Lid, 8 quart, 1 Piece (Metallic) - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71cJ7QVCpdL.jpg) ![Cook N Home Cook N Home 18-10 Stainless Steel Stockpot Saucepot With Lid, 8 quart, 1 Piece (Metallic) - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71-VVBJJllL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Has anyone tried this 12 qt stockpot on an induction cooktop?** A: I have used a 16 quart, 20 quart, and 26 quart stock pot on the induction plate to make large amounts of chicken soup, and different stocks. It works wonderful. Enough room to add homemade noodles to that soup. **Q: So is this pot 21 qt or 18.5? And it would have to be taller than 9" to can quart jars. True size, please?** A: For storage purposes: The pan from countertop to rim is 9 7/8”, with the lid “inverted for storage” 10” (inches) tall. Currently rearranging cabinets and adjusting shelves to fit this monster! **Q: Why does this have aluminum! i want a pure stainless steel pot! this is so annoying! i search stainless steel all day long for months and cant find!** A: This is a Stainless Steel pot, with only Aluminum base on the OUTSIDE. It WILL NOT come into contact with your food. It is used on almost all pots and pans because it has much, much more even heat distribution than any other metal, and heats up more quickly than any other type of metal. **Q: Can this be used on glass flat top stove?** A: Works fine, details here now describe it works on Induction units. Most thick bottom pans today work on Induction stoves because they use Tri-Metal technology or get a layer of magnetic metal added to their base & they work well. Mainly it's all aluminum/alloy pans that have issues as they are not magnetic. Any pan a magnet sticks to their bottom of works on glass top Inductive stoves fine. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works on Induction & MUCH better quality than the price might suggest. *by A***E on 20 June 2023* This LARGE pot was maybe just a bit bigger (1/4" larger in diameter) than my biggest induction burner, but the huge capacity was perfect for my needs.
