It does not dilute, except for a small percentage of the product. In fact, vigorously mixing 8 ounces of it in a 5 gallon bucket of water left about 7 ounces of the fertilizer in the bottom of the bucket. In my experience, it is NOT readily water soluble. I wanted to use this mixed with water as a slow drip/feed for several trees around our house. I should have researched it more. Hope that helps future buyers. **Q: Would this be good for leland cypress trees? ours have a twig blight which we are treating. would this be good also?** A: As an evergreen, I would think Holly-Tone would be a better choice.
