On one spool the thread was wrapped like someone wrapped it by hand after looking at it or using it. Also there was quite a bit inside the bag as it had come undone or was returned like that! I like this thread it does the job, so I gave it a 3 star. I give it a 1 star for receiving a used spool. This is the first type I have bought for bracelets so I am not an expert on what to expect. The only problems are yes, it is hard to tie in a knot. It does stretch quite a bit though. My problem was that after threading the bracelet I had these fine fibers coming off the thread like some of it had broken and came loose. So I put a double strand in the bracelet for security.Update December 2019 - this does not last it starts breaking after wearing the bracelets and frayed to the point it broke. Not good at all.
