I have a small terrarium where there are no doors. I took them off to open up the cage. Still it puts off just enough night heat. It's about 70-75 on the opposite side and just over 80 on the side it is on. This is going through a metal/mesh type top and it's I'm very close quarters as you can see and it seems to be just great.
