The tiny brush makes it much easier to do detailed work with the waterbrush, and maintain crisp lines. Like all waterbushes, the brush does fray if scrubbed too hard against paper, so if blending colors or doing a lot of shading, you might consider getting a watrbrush that you know will fray and lose its point and keep one just for detailed work. The one issue I do have with this brush is that water doesn't flow too easily- most of the time you have to squeeze the barrel to get the water flowing. This is a good and bad thing- with some mediums, I really like having control of the water so that a big drop doesn't flow out and flood whatever I am working on. But, when using pan watercolors and cakes of gouache, I like to have a waterbrush that allows water to flow continually (like the Aquash), so remembering to squeeze the barrel is not my favorite. But, like I said, the fine brush on this trumps everything else and is why I give it five stars. It allows for great control, especially in detailed work. It's the waterbrush I have been looking for. I just wish they'd adjust the water to flow out continually rather than having a drop or two come out when the barrel is squeezed.
