Received the gasket in a day with the cement to put it in. Removing the old gasket was little tricky, using a screw driver and scrapping out the old one. Then taking a wire brush on my drill removed the old adhesive. Cleaned the channel with some paint thinner. Then dry fit the new gasket and cut to length. Cement it in place and it worked like new. Very pleased on the seal it did . Must start a small fire to cure the cement you use to hold the gasket in place. over all good product. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It worked perfectly and solved my problem! *by R***R on December 19, 2017* This rope worked great. My stove was letting air in along one side so I couldn't control the air well enough and there was soot along the window where it was coming in. I ordered this replacement rope and had my fireplace guy install it. They just pulled out the old one, scraped out the old silicone, reapplied new high heat silicone and pressed the rope into the groove. They cut off the extra tail as it was a lot longer than needed. We closed the stove door and they told me to let it sit like that for 24 hours.
