Looking to put in in my boat The skin is moisture proof not waterproof, if Lipo goes up in flames smoke escapes from bag, 2 times I've had Lipo catch fire when damage once in a model helicopter crash and a badly puffed up Lipo while charging and not using balance charging (Should of known better) ,,in the last 15 years..highly recommend to use a safe bag charging or transporting.. Maybe buy a dedicated waterproof bag/container to fit safe bag in. BTW Lipos hate salt water it discharges them **Q: Would this item protect small documents/ cash/ jewellery in the event of a house fire?** A: I would think no. The criteria is different. The heat from a house fire will be intense and so the heat transferred into the bag will be sufficient to ignite the contents. Whereas the Lipo bag is designed to contain a chemical fire **Q: I see 5 star rating is this still the case or were there any failures lately** A: Difficult to say until you have a lipo fire which I dont want to try out lol. You can charge the batteries inside fairly easily too. The video shows a lipo force charged into ignition within the bag and it does contain the subsequent explosion and fire so it seems to do what it claims but you still need to keep it away from flammable things and charge on a heat proof surface.
