When I finally needed it a couple weeks ago to troubleshoot a malfunctioning air conditioner, the meter failed me. I set it to DC volts to test the AC to DC transformer and the meter consistently told me zero volts of output measured directly at the transformer. I replaced the transformer multiple times because it read zero volts of output. I ultimately had to call the air conditioner service repair who quickly tested the existing transformer with his Fluke meter and confirmed it WAS working properly. With that knowledge, he was able to identify the problem quickly. This also told me I could not trust my barely used meter. A meter that cannot be trusted cannot be used. This failure of the Tacklife meter ended up costing me 4 times the expense to fix my problem. Before I post my experience on Amazon, I wanted to reach out to you directly to request a refund. Under some circumstances I would consider a replacement but unfortunately I no longer have any trust in the Tacklife meter's accuracy.Now I have a meter that seems to sometimes work but I cannot trust. Wish it had a magnet though but I added one to it myself and it works great.Update: I have had this meter for a year now and use it mainly for work; work in HVAC and electrical at work and have only had to change out the leads. (This is not just a meter for home owner.) I read a review of someone having trouble reading dc voltage on an ac voltage transformer and wanted a refund well if they knew anything about dc and ac voltage you will get a reading of zero if trying to read ac voltage while your meter is set to read dc voltage. Just read the manual on how to select from ac voltage to dc voltage and it will work. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for homeowners. *by R***E on Reviewed in the United States on December 14, 2017* Initial impressions are this is definitely a homeowners amp clamp not for everyday professional use. It does not include min or max on any of the settings. I would have liked to see min and max. No fault of the seller, it doesn't state that it has this feature. The thermocouple setting on this is off by a few degrees (lower) compared to a more expensive meter and my digital thermostat. For a homeowner doing small jobs once in awhile where it doesn't make sense to purchase a more expensive meter this is perfect. It does current, voltage and resistance which are what will be used the most.
